A Jade Force of Misera Story (13)
The IFN has been defeated on the continent of Surprise. This does not mean the war is over. The IFN starts staging troops on the continent of Eastland in preparation for an invasion of Surprise. The Jade Empire doesn't believe in letting an enemy get prepared or organized well enough to fight.

He was an Irish cop from the toughest part of Manhattan. She was a Cheyenne maiden from the Montana High Country. He rescued her from some very bad men. In return, she mended his broken heart. The whole improbable story plays out against the panorama of the Civil War and America's relentless movement West. There's a bit of a twist at the end. But who doesn't like surprises?

Damsels In Distress
Al Adams makes his first visit to Chaos as a Hero. However, he must first prepare for the trip. A rescue is chosen, and plans made. But the plans must change to suit the developing situation he meets on the ground. He does push ahead in establishing himself on Chaos.

A story in the Lucky Jim Universe
The adventures of 16-year-old Jim Reynolds start in 1856 Virginia. When his family and several others head west to settle near Council Bluffs, his adventures continue, becoming more numerous and earning him the moniker Lucky Jim. Follow Jim as he grows into a leadership role that he feels unqualified to hold, until finally forced to test both his leadership ability and his luck. A "fantasy history."

Damsels In Distress
A new Hero is recruited to work on Chaos, and is taken as a Hero Companion on an orientation visit. Al, being the person he is, can't help but look to change how things are done, and change them for the better. Plenty of action, and no sex. The first of many stories about this Hero. The important knowledge needed about the Damsels in Distress Universe is told in the story, so don't worry.

It is a harsh cruel world in which danger lurks for the unwary. After a small town is wiped out, ten families sign the Pfand X, the pledge of ten, in which they promise to support and help each other in good times and bad. The International Federation of Nations just had to do it. A committee on War Crimes declared Pen Sada a war criminal. When Jade Force and the nation of Misera won't turn her over for trial, there's only one thing the IFN can do, and that is to declare war on Misera.

This is not a combat story, but a recounting of the activities of my father, a transport driver, and his friends in the Australian Army during World War 2. It's the incidents and events they talked about over a drink when they got together to remember the old days. Most are funny, in many ways, and some are frightening. They convey what they did to stay sane, and also why they were there. Included is the poetry by the author, nearly all of which was written whilst on active service. 24,900 words
