Love was in the air. Life was free of care. The future was bright. The 1960's should have been the beginning of 'Pax Americanus'¦ 200 years of 'The American Peace'. It wasn't.
This is the first installment of what I hope will be a bunch of stories describing the War in the Pacific. I'm American so most of the stories will be from the American point of view. If you are a veteran of any of the battles described (from any side) I'd love to get your story.
'Man In Debt' is a novella-length piece in fourteen chapters. Largely in correspondence form, it concerns a battle involving a wily borrower, his lender and their two firms of lawyers. The principals move from hostility to quasi-friendliness. Their legal representatives go the opposite way, with farcical results.
Charlie shares the wonder of family and the importance of spending quality time together. For preschool age kids. This is the end of this series. At least for now. The power of children's books often comes from the illustrations. Since mine can't have them at the moment it is very important for the parents or babysitters to read and explain things with great descriptive drama and fun. I hope at least one little one enjoyed at least one of the stories.
