Into every life a bit of truth may fall. The truths of life fell into mine. This is my homage to the creed called the 'Facts of Life' that Lazlo Zalezac invented for his novel, 'The Millionaire Next Door'. I recommend the story as one of Zalezac's best.
BTW, TeNderLoin points out that "The Millionaire Next Door" is posted right here on the Fine Stories website.
I like it!!! It all goes back to: "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." This makes the general populace helpless against criminals. I say we should REQUIRE gun/weapons training, beginning in Elementary school, with refreshers required as 'summer school' courses, every year. Then we ISSUE every person a gun at High School graduation! That would make for a VERY POLITE society. Might even curb political graft. TeNderLoin
What happens when a madman blames society for his troubles? See what one man can do when all he wants is revenge. This is not a happy story: maybe it is even a horror story. It certainly has some political overtones. No, I am not advocating what happens, but I could do it if these bad things happened to me. Read it and think. That's all that I ask.
Operetto in the Key of Rest. You know, the stuff the piano player is playing in all them old silent films. Yet another story, I guess. But it's a poem. Don't tell.
