Military Stories

This is not a combat story, but a recounting of the activities of my father, a transport driver, and his friends in the Australian Army during World War 2. It's the incidents and events they talked about over a drink when they got together to remember the old days. Most are funny, in many ways, and some are frightening. They convey what they did to stay sane, and also why they were there. Included is the poetry by the author, nearly all of which was written whilst on active service. 24,900 words

The Sumar/Desera War is heating up. More refugees are fleeing the war zone and Jade Force remains responsible for them. Someone has to end the war and who better than Jade Force.

A Magic at War Story
"She was naked and tied to a bed when I first met her." I know, strange way to meet a woman. But what happens after that? And how did she get to be naked and tied up? And how the hell did he happen to be lucky enough to meet her that way? A little story about what happens when the Fates decide you need to be woken up and how they do it. WARNING-No actual sex, but attempted rape is part of the story. Don't read if that is not your cup of tea.
