He quickly finds a new family, and will do anything it takes to protect them, including destroy a whole armada of attacking space ships.
This is an old story by my friend Joesephus. It was his next to last story and I think one of his best. The question is the meaning of forgiveness, and reconciliation... which Joesephus saw as separate acts. Please let me know what your reaction/response would be and your opinion of the story

The world of Darvin Carpenter, a PI in Albuquerque, NM
This is actually the second Carpenter novel, but it's the first which is available for me to post. This is the first visit of the Carpenters to Red Hawk since Darvin left Red Hawk back in the 80s. It ties in with a short story called "Ghost," which I'm also posting so you can get the background of this novel. Also, because of the overwhelmingly positive feedback from The Chief, I'll be posting more chapters at a time. :)
