Poem Story: Lyric or poem. In honor of the courage and beauty of women when it comes to love. To all women who have been hurt and continue to love. I'm sorry for your turmoil, but I'm proud of you and I hope the very best for you. My siblings and I were raised by our mom and I have five sisters. Possibly gives me a unique view point. Also possible why I'm a little wild. Whatever. Smiles...

He wants to love her
But she won't let him

He wants to love her
But she's been hurt one too many times

She's a good girl
With a heart of gold

She's a good girl
She deserves to be cared for

But she finds it hard to let people into her heart
She's afraid of love

She's been hurt one too many times
She's afraid of love

Now there's a man in her life
Oh how he makes her feel alive

And yet at the door she says goodnight
Then when she goes to bed alone she cries

He wants to love her
But she won't let him in

He wants to love her
But the scars from past loves run deep

She doesn't want to be hurt anymore
But she wants to be in love

Oh she doesn't know what to do
Lord she's so confused

Oh how her trust is so skewed
Lord she's so confused

You can see the pain in her eyes
God how she hates to cry

She wants to open her heart to the light
God how she's so tired of crying

Even though she's afraid of love
She hopes in the end she will give in

She wants to step into the light
To forget the pain and once again give love a try

She's a good girl
Who deserves the world

She's a good girl
She wants to give love a try

She doesn't want to be afraid of love anymore
She has the courage to shine bright

He wants to love her
Lord how she wants to be loved

He wants to love her
Lord how she wants to be touched

She's a good girl
Who only wants to be loved

She's a good girl
Once again with an open heart

There's that smile
Precious girl
