The Day You've Hit Me

I want to put it out there
I just need ... to put it out there
Everything going on inside of me ... all along the way.
I need to say-you've never learned to care
And it didn't matter, I was always there
There for you all along the way.
I didn't care for my days that went by
I didn't even notice the moment when I've forgotten to smile
I told myself you weren't making me humble...
... weren't making me shy.
The day you've hit me my pink glasses have broken down
The day you've hit me I saw who you really are
The day you've hit me was the day I stopped to cry
I left you; full of tears but with a smile inside
I knew a better life was about to come.
