'A Prayer for Santa'

by 'Jake Rivers'

This story has despair, pain and love. Spending your life tied to a bottle is not much of a life. Jake Rivers has captured the situation in this somber story of a family man becoming lost in the fog of alcoholism.

The story opens with a barely functioning man talking to himself about this “Santa Claus crap at the department stores”. How did Mr Rivers paint such an amazing portrait of someone whose main view of life is through the bottom of a bottle.

The story describes the difficulty of life in recovery and the pains of abstinence in the world today.

‘ A Prayer for Santa ‘is a wonderful story well worth reading in my opinion.
