For some reason the webmaster posted the fourth chapter of "The Prophecy" with the first stanza chopped off. I have resubmitted it. And this time the SNAFU was completely NOT my fault! Honest!
Anyway, on to other fronts. "The Wanderer" will be even later than I though due to work unexpectedly interferring with writing. If I am not too tired tomorrow night, I will try to wrap that one up for you guys and gals.
I have submitted "The Prophecy" chapter 4 so it should be up in a day or so. "The Wanderer" ending is progressing slower than I thought but I should have it up by the weekend. Sorry to keep you waiting.
OK, folks, the next story in the Am'mortal Universe is halfway done. It has kinda run away from me so I am posting the first half because it turned out to have a natural cleft point in the story. Reminding those who may have forgotten, "The Wanderer" is the direct sequel to "The Doom of Immortality" but is written in first person from the perspective of the monk known as The Wandering One. I may finish the story by the end of the weekend, depending on how much more it decides there is to the tale. That is the down side to my writing style. I am just the purveyer of the tale as provided to me by my Muses, Calliope and Clio. I would love to be methodical about this, but alas, I am not.
Also, I would like to reminder everyone that reading "The World of Qaryesh t'Marne" would help in knowing about the divinities in the new story as well as the races that are mentioned. I have reposted it because I added a few minor things after writing the first half of "The Wanderer" and thought of a couple of tweeks it needed. Not a must, but helpful. Just a suggestion.
Enjoy and hopefully chapter two of "The Wanderer" will be coming in a couple of days.
P. S. I have added "The Wanderer" to the "Timeline" of the Am'mortal Universe and resubmitted "Timeline"
OK, annoyances gone and 9/11 gotten out of my system, for the most part, so I have reposted the first 2 chapters of Prophecy after slight tweeking and submitted chapter 3. They should be up in the next day or so.
On the Am'mortal Universe front, the next story for that should be out probably by the end of the weekend. It will be one of the few in the Universe that will be directly related to (or sequel/prequel of) another story in the Universe. In this case, "The Wanderer" is the sequel to "The Doom of Immortality" and will tell what the monk does after the gathering. So if you have not read "Doom" please do so before readinging "The Wanderer," it will give you a better understanding of the story. You may want to give "The World of Qaryesh T'Marne" a look as some of the races described therein will be featured as well as their Gods. Also, "The Wanderer" is written in 1st person, so the reader will be getting more of a feel for what is going on inside the main character's head as he begins his journeys as an Am'mortal.
Got a double whammy of a creative buzzkill. Because I spent some time in the northeast, 9/11 hits hard every year. I knew a few people who worked in lower Manhattan at the time of the attacks, though thankfully none were killed, and I had an uncle who was a firefighter in North Jersey who worked on the recovery. So seeing the documentaries and the memorials and the recollections are hard every year. I think they are necessary to remind those idiots who seem to have difficulty grasping the idea that someone they have never met wants them dead, but they are also creative buzzkills for me.
In addition to that very serious, very necessary creative block, I also have a very annoying, very . . . well, just think of your slowest, most irritating relative or friend or acquaintance and that is who is staying in my house this week. Add on to that the frickin' purse-sized dog that accompanied them who keeps pissing on the damn carpet and you can see that this week was not a very good one condusive to creativity of the type that will get my stories finished. So I apologize and am hoping some of the good vibes will return next week.
All that is the long version of why the stories I am working on are still incomplete. Sorry guys and gals.
