Anomaly of the Fates Ch. 6

Chapter 6 of Anomaly of the Fates has been submitted and should be up soon. I have also resubmitted the other five chapters and the Prologue because I have cleaned up some of the things I saw when rereading those chapters over the last week or so. Nothing major has been changed, but they were changed so they needed to be reposted. I am also working on some of the background info for the Xeuxondra Universe probably to be posted either on the new year or shortly after. I am hoping it won't take that long, but it is a large file and it may take longer than I hoped. After that, I am hoping to have The Arrogance of Empire finished soon, a short story in a new Universe I am tentatively titling Pan-Deia. When I get that posted (possibly along with some of that new universe's background info) I will be getting back to Future Distorted and the sequel to Enter the Darkness, In the Darkness Falling.

So that is the news. Hope everyone had a good and safe Christmas and have a safe and Happy New Year!

Anomaly of the Fates Chapter 5

As the title suggests, Chapter Five of Anomaly of the Fates has been submitted. It should be up sometime tonight or tomorrow depending on the Webmaster. It being the holidays, it might be a little longer than normal. I wanted to get this up over the weekend but I did not realize how much I had written. I wound up breaking it up into two chapters, Chapter Six will probably follow sometime in the next week or so after I type it into the computer. This chapter is a little on the spicy side as a new character is introduced. Hope you enjoy it.

I also want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in case I don't get back on here before then. Everyone enjoy the holidays and stay safe. See you in the new year.

Posting News

All right, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news first. The next chapter of Anomaly of the Fates is finished. The bad news is that it is hand-written and so it will take a few days to transcribe the chicken-scratch onto the computer. Tomorrow is the last day of work until the new year, so I will have plenty of time to commune with the computer over the holiday break. I hope this to mean that the new chapter will be up by the weekend; that is my goal, at least.

I have a few other things I am hoping to also get up on the site over the break, including something related to my Samuelson novels and the short stories in the Xeuxondra Universe posted here. It is something in the nature of copious background I wrote for my own use in writing the novels that I have decided to post, but it may take some time to get that ready. Other stuff will probably be ready before then, including a new short story (The Arrogance of Empire) in a new universe. I have background stuff for that too that I may post; glossaries, geography, religions, histories, and stuff like that. It is all for a new novel-length story (The Shattering of Faith) I started a while back with intention of posting it here.

So that is what I have been slaving over the past few weeks/months for you ladies and gents. So look for that by the end of the month and into the new year.

A Restful Holiday-A Dark Wars Tale

One of the things I have been working on over the last few weeks is a story that follows Enter the Darkness storyline. It is titled A Restful Holiday and is a little longer than I had intended when I started writing it. It was spawned by something I wrote in one of the opening chapters of the sequel to Enter the Darkness (In the Darkness Falling) that seemed to cry out for explanation, if only for myself. When I thought that, the urge to write this story hit me and I knew my Muse had received a new shipment of anvils that day. That was about three weeks or so ago and writing the bloody story was the quickest part of the process in bringing this story to you. Since I was working when I felt the whack from my Muse, it wound up being written in pencil on paper in my near-illegible chicken scratch. Deciphering said chicken scratch and then having someone edit it was what took so long. I know this comes on the heels of the last chapter of Future Distorted, but I have been pretty busy writing at work, so this was one of those things I promised would be forthcoming when I finally got everything in the computer.

So, here it is, enjoy, and as always, let me know what you think.

New Future Distorted

I have finally gotten the next chapter of Future Distorted transcribed onto the computer from my chicken-scratch. It is submitted and should be up sometime later tonight or tomorrow. It is on the short side but I got to a certain point in writing and realized that it was better to stop where I did than to run on and on and then try to figure out where to break things up. You will see what I mean when you read the chapter.

As for other stuff, I have so much handwritten (because most of my writing lately has been done at work without the benefit of a computer) that it may be a while before I figure out what I have and if any of it is postable or if it is just stuff I haven't figured out what to do with yet. Some of it is just background for things not yet postable while other stuff is things I don't want to post until I have more of it. Of the latter category is the sequel to Enter the Darkness, entitled In the Darkness Falling. I also have a short story that follows Enter the Darkness that I may post soon entitled A Restful Holiday.

Hopefully over the holiday this week I will be able to straighten out what I have written down and cobble together something postable for you all. With that, I will conclude and wish all of my fellow Americans a Happy Thanksgiving!
