A POEM A LIE A STORY{br}

grey
wall to wall a sky of perfect grey.

once thru the window spread before us
between the clouds a speck of blue

i laughed
she smiled to hear me laugh
until i told her, i love you,
you are the blue spot in my grey sky.

she wept and whispered wondrous that my sky must not be grey
she smiled
the heavens parted and swept the clouds away

we walked in love and wonder beneath a sky so blue
from wall to wall
without a speck of grey.

last night the wonder faded
my life and sky are grey
i wonder and i wander
wall to wall my world is grey.

her sisters weep but smile
whisper i still hold her love
but i wander grey and soulless
clouds all grey above

they cant guess what all i lost
i tell them words
grey words
that reek of love

how she’s gone
how night has fallen wall to wall
and lasts from dusk to dusk
paints my world without color
all my skies are grey.

her sisters shake their heads
sing that i forgot
my song of love from life to life
but me? i see nothing
but a sky of dark to dark.

her sisters cry for what i’ve lost
they just dont understand
her smile her love her glory{br}

i weep to them a poem a lie a story
how she smiled a rainbow
how her eyes painted love and life upon the sky
how i cry she was the blue spot in my grey sky.

how she was my poem
... the heavens part{br}

my song a lie
... warmth sweeps the clouds{br}

my life a story
... blue spreads from wall to wall{br}

my love all poem, all lie, all story.

i rage and cry
point up and
staring stay...

the sky above from wall to wall
one vast blue spot
without a speck of grey.
