Chapter 54

2005 Thursday 16 February before dinner is served Currahee Nations

I wish to address an issue before dinner. We all missed an opportunity this day to excel, from me on down. We of The Wappinger Nation were given an extraordinary Gift by Nakoda and Aaniiih Nations. We are most thankful for the gift and the trust the gift in tales.

Along with this Gift came Veterinarians Horatius and Eve Gallagher Their children Three-year-old Susanna Jane and Five-year-old Phenious Martin. Veterinarian Technicians Morton and Delilla Grasslands, Edith Elsworth, and Malissa Carlile. Will you stand Please. They stood and they were applauded by the room.

We failed them. We of The Wappinger Nation take pride in taking care of everyone who joins our family. Members of the Nakoda and Aaniiih Nations provided them with food for their travels. We did not provide food, transportation, or a place for the little ones to rest and play as necessary work was done.

This is unacceptable. Mrs. Ruth in the morning will send out a checklist for new arrivals. This is if there here for in interview, government assignment, Wappinger Nation Industries Inc. employment, or are joining the Wappinger Nation for another purpose.

This checklist will be handed to a current MCAS Wolverine Field, Wappinger Nation resident from the section the person or family is here for an interview, assignment, employment, or residence. If it is a family the checklist will be issued to a similar family. This checklist will be used to ensure we miss nothing in the future. I will not fail the people of MCAS Wolverine Field, Wappinger Nation in the future. We will have no future repeat of the lapses in our duties. It will not happen again.

Raleigh you may serve dinner.

2130 Marcus

As dinner finished and people started to leave. I spoke, I will see all The Platoon in the cave in Fifteen Minutes. Mother Protector and Second Mother I know you have other duties, and you will join us as soon as you can.

Mother Protector

Currahee Nations and Kariwase Nations came to us as we left the dining room.

Currahee Nations

Mother Protector and Second Mother you have allowed my wife to become involved with another male. One that is hard to compete against for attention. At 0900 In the morning, you will report to Doral Elwood Hayes and if he passes you to Byron Red Sky Nelson. You will be deputized as Deputy U S Marshals and be responsible for Kariwase Nations security as you deal with your Primary Duty Assignment.

You will be permanently issued tomorrow one of the 4-wheel drive crew cab trucks. This truck will be driven by either of you but not Kariwase. It will be parked in the house garage and will be brought to the front of the house by staff when you request it. Keep my wife safe as you protected as you do our Gift. Thank you.

I turned to K who was smiling.

Kariwase Nations

I gave R a kiss and said you are forgiven. And I will show more forgiveness later. Let us go girls we have some babies to but to bed.

As we got to the front door, I saw Horatius Gallagher with his pick-up truck and Artemon my Chauffeur holding the back door open for us. He answered before I could ask, if you travel unless it is with the Master I will drive. I got in. Mother Protector and Second Mother got in on the other side as Horatius held the door for them. From the porch I heard Eve call, taking out other women for a drive I see and laughed. She came and kissed her husband and said we are alone tonight, and I plan to make the most of it hurry back.

A few carrots, head scratches, and Five minutes with a curry comb and our babies were put to bed. Horatius had checked on the two young calves and was happy with the way they looked. He gave Benton Disraeli his contact number and we all wished Benton and Martha Disraeli a good night.

Second Mother

0700 Friday 17 February Second Mother

The Platoon had been told that our training schedule would not resume until Monday but all of us fell out for PT at 0600. We did Fifteen minutes of warmups, and a Three mile run at Twelve-minute mile pace. Kariwase Nations had been told by her doctor that with her high-risk pregnancy she would not be allowed to PT with us but was given a program to follow on her own. Mother Protector and talked with Mrs. Ruth and decided we would not PT with The Platoon but starting Monday PT with Kariwase and adapt our schedule to hers. It was happily agreed to by Currahee Nations, as well as Dr Thero. Dr Thero gave us the instructions the limits of Kariwase training. The three of us decided that we would meet at the Paddock on PT mornings at 0600 take care of our babies and then do PT until 0700. Breakfast time was extended to 0800 to accommodate the Mistress and us. Others thanked us as now they quickly could shower after PT before eating breakfast.
