Jeanette MacMillan: Profile

JEANETTE MACMILLAN of Anderson, IN writes, “After forty years of either teaching language arts or working as a Media Specialist, I retired from a full time position. I’d graduated from Eastern Nazarene College, Wollaston, Mass., with a major in English and a minor in Theology. I received my Masters in Library Science from Rosary College, Chicago, Ill. I’m married to a minister who pastored for forty years. Now that I’m retired, I’ve had time to pursue my lifelong dream of free lance writing. I chair an Aspiring Writers Group at our church. I’ve had devotionals published in A Cup of Comfort Devotionals for Mothers and Daughters, 2009; and in A Cup of Comfort Book of Christmas Prayer, 2009; also a story in Questions For God, 2010.”

FRED MACMILLAN, my husband, is a native of Rosebank, Prince Edward Island, where he spent the first eighteen years of his life on a farm with his family of fifteen. He explains, “I never had a chance to leave the Island until I was a teenager because it was too costly and inconvenient to take the ferry. I also attended Eastern Nazarene College where I met Jeanette. I majored in Theology and Minored in Music. I’m an ordained elder with a Doctorate in Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary. I’m now retired from the pastorate and am sole proprietor of COVENANT BUILDERS, specializing in building and remodeling churches.”
