Getting some meat on them bones

Sometimes I get an idea for a book stuck in my head that makes me excited. I envision the story and it plays out in my head like a movie. Putting it on paper seems effortless because I just write what's repeating in my head. The only problem? The story comes out all bones, lacking most of the meat. In my excitement to write the events of my book, I skimped on the details. Reading through my initial chapters made me realize I need to set the scene better and add more descriptions. The book is definitely not finished if I can improve it with each revision.

Glad to be here

Hey everyone!
I want to say thank you to those who have read my story. I am a relatively new author and wanted to get honest feedback on my book Spotted. Family and friends will give you a biased opinion because they want you to be happy, but I know complete strangers online don't have that kind of devotion and can tell me if what I write is any good. So please, if you have any ideas on what will make my story better, reach out and let me know. I'm happy to have found this site and to be a part of this community!
