A Prince Too Many

A Prince Too Many is the title to the new story I promised to you for Monday but I still have not heard back from my sounding board. So, that being the case, if I have not heard back by Thursday night, you will get the story with the Friday submission of Chapter 20 of Justice Resurrected and I will just have to go back and make any changes said sounding board suggests.

And so on the the Map. I have had many readers send me inquiries on my progress on getting a map for Titia-Lohr scanned. Good new/bad news situation there. Good news is I managed to paste together smaller pieces of the map to get a whole JPEG file for it. It is a rough draft, mind you, and as the name suggests, it is not the refined piece that I usually wind up with after three or four redraws. I just needed something to refer to whilst I wrote and never gave redrawing it a second thought. Now the bad news. Webmaster submission guidelines require pictures to be 400 pixels or about 20KB in size. My map is over 1100 pixels on each side and is over 470KB. I tried resizing it down to the specified size and it is illegible and useless at that point. I have a line into the Webmaster and hopefully he will have a workable solution.

So, that is all until Friday, unless the Webmaster gets back to me sooner about the map.

Chapter 19 Is Ready . . .

Alright folks, Chapter 19 of Justice Resurrected is submitted for your reading pleasure. It should be up in a few hours. As for the other story I was hoping to get to you with this chapter, it will be a few days late as it has gotten a little longer than I thought and my sounding board left town for parts west for the week and has not gotten back to me on the parts said sounding board already has in their possession. As this is the case, I will likely need a couple of more days before you get it, so sometime this weekend or Monday is probable for ETA. As I mentioned, the new story will be about the origins of a character being introduced in Chapter 19. It is a quick little background on his character and how he came to be available to join Jonar's quest. At the moment it is a short 155 KB and counting, so a quick read for you once I get it finished and edited.

That is all for now. Remember to not be shy about constructive criticism and I always enjoy hearing the varied opinions on my stories (though some of them are starting to make me blush, the praise is so fulsome!).

Chapter 18 and a Notice

Posted at

Well, Chapter 18 of Justice Resurrected is submitted. Sorry to be a few hours late on it but Friday crept up on me unawares this week so I had to scramble to get it out. Been a little too busy with other stuff this week to pay attention to the calendar and my posting schedule. So enjoy, sorry about it being so short this week as well. If I find the time, I may finish up a related story and you will have next week's chapter accompanied by a Titia-Lohr short story. Although short is relative, as it is already 112 KB and counting. It is an origin story of a character that will be introduced in next week's Chapter 19, so hopefully that will make up for this week's short one.

And on to the Notice. For those of you who read Chapter 4 of Enter the Darkness, I have to apologize for it. Most probably did not catch it, but I screwed up in a big way in writing the navigational details of Alexandra and her father through the DC area. I can only plead ignorance and failing memory on that one as I wrote that chapter before getting a hold of a good street map of Washington, D. C. for another story I started. A reader wrote me about the story (he liked it but lives in the DC area) and pointed out that unless one gets lost, one would not drive through downtown DC to get from Reagan (Washinton, back then) National Airport to Ft. Belvoir due to the fact that both of them are already in Virginia (Reagan being in Arlington, I believe he said). Having thusly been righteously reprimanded in my sloppy research for that chapter, I will be rewriting, possibly in a major way, Chapter 4 of Darkness. I will be doing that before I will post Chapter 5, but probably after the Titia-Lohr story. So when next you see an update for Enter the Darkness, that will be what it is. Chapter 5 will probably be out shortly thereafter, as it is almost written and simply needs finishing touches and editing.

Well, that is all for this week and as always, I appreciate your encouragement and constructive criticism. It really does help!
