A little girl, at a dinner out, attracts the attention of someone who is ultimately able to help her father get a job, and get her family back on their feet.
Debra takes her daughter, Amanda, to the Apple store to look at her favorite computers, as a treat for the day. Amanda is suffering from a lung problem and has only minimum strength. Dom McQuiston sees them there and decides to step in and help with Amanda, her wishes and her care.
Dr Jackie Lawrence is visited by Samantha, Sam, and Mr Twig, her stuffed bear, while Sam's dad works on their new house next door. They become fast friends, and when Jackie meets Walt, Sam's dad, the romance starts.
