Chapter 9: Wrath of Fire

Before her death, Neptar Before her death, Neptar gave birth to a set of fraternal twins. These children were separated in hopes of raising them to become warriors of a similar caliber. In the event that Distortion was revived, the planet Neptar would have warriors powerful enough to finally put an end to his reign of terror.

“Mistery wake up!” I heard a voice yell

“He’s out cold,” someone one spoke out. My vision went blurry before blacking out entirely once again. All I remember seeing was a red-headed girl covered in flames, standing before me. I woke up in Janet’s house once again. She was sitting on the bedside staring at me

“What was that thing out there?” she asked me

“He’s one of the gem holders, the strongest one out of the six,” I said to her

“Why didn’t you tell me about this?”

“I need you to trust me on this. This creature has power have never seen before. Unless I’m overestimating him, he might even be stronger than my grandfather,” I said to her

“We need to do something about it, we can’t just let him kill you,” she said to me

“My best choice is to go back to Neptar as quickly as possible,”

“Then we should probably head out now,” she said to me

“Weren’t you going to take like half of your room onboard?” I said to her jokingly

“I realized if I keep earthly possessions, then I’ll just miss this place even more,” she said to me

“Then if you truly love this place, then why do you want to come with me? Aren’t you better off staying here?” I asked her

“I’ve told you this before, I don’t belong here. I want to find my true place in life and I believe it’s with you,” she said to me

“Then I have no objections. Just remember it’s not safe,” I told her

“Let’s head out before that monster shows his face again,” she said to me

“Should we say our farewells?” I asked her

“I think we should just go. We shouldn’t get them involved in this. Bill might not seem like it but he is actually quite a successful person already, I don’t think we should ruin his chances here on Earth,” she said to me. We headed out to the mountain in order to get to the spaceship. Janet didn’t bring any of her belongings, she even left her phone back at her house.

“I think you’re going to like Neptar, it’s quite a hectic place,” I said to her

“I want to meet this grandfather of yours,” she said to me. That might not be the best idea, I doubt my grandfather would have a problem with a human coming to Neptar but due to his personality, it might get a bit out of hand.

“Alright, we’re here. Let me just step inside and activate the power. It might take a few minutes to fully power up,” I said to her

“Mistery,” she said to me in a frightened voice

“He’s back” Just as she said that the skies became black once more

“Your time is up,” Darkness said to me

“That’s not fair, I was knocked out for the whole day,” I said to him

“It’s your fault, you didn’t want to take my offer,” he said to me. He grew a separate limb out of the side of his torso and launched me towards the canyons below the mountain range and I landed on a large rock. We were now very far away from the spaceship

“If I was in your shoes I would’ve taken my offer,” he said to me slowly lowering down towards me. His body began to emanate a black fog and his power rose.

As he landed on the ground, the surrounding earth shook. Rocks around us cracked and the wind became more intense. He charged towards me with a claw-like hand. I managed to dodge it but only by the skin of my teeth

“That’s right, your specialty is speed isn’t it?” he said to me

“Why don’t you activate that inner power of yours so we can truly begin this fight,”

“It’ll be my pleasure,” I responded. I pounded my chest and let the flame spread around my body. I charged towards him and struck his head, he began to stumble before growing another limb out of the location I had hit him on. The limb grabbed onto my leg and swung me around like a towel. I was thrown into a boulder.

“Well that was a good attempt but I guess you’re just no match for me,” he said to me. He placed his hand out and blasted me with the same wave of negative energy that had knocked me out before. I managed to quickly dodge the attack and deliver a counterattack by blasting a scattershot. He placed his hand out to block the flame. Once at a proper range I split the blast and caused each piece to hit his body.

“That’s an interesting attack I’ll give you that. However, if you only rely on hitting me and not actually putting any power behind your attacks it’s all for nothing,” he said to me. He was right, I never seemed to be able to put enough power in any of my attacks to actually damage someone, I had only ever focused on speed and on landing the hit. I began to run circles around him to build up momentum

“What are you plotting?” he said to himself. I used my built up momentum to help me put more strength into my punch. I ran into him with all the speed I had built up and struck his chest. Before my attack could properly connect, however, he had grown another limb and blocked the attack. Even with his block, my attack still managed to push him back a bit.

“I guess you’re a quick learner,” he said to me. His voice sounded like it was in a struggle, I had managed to break past his defenses. He pulled my arm back towards him and used my own momentum against me to punch me back onto the cliff. He placed both of his hands out and bombarded me with a hail of spikes. Each spike was a piece of his body and was full of negative energy. As the spike touched my body it exploded and caused me major damage.

“I have to say, I’m disappointed. I imagined that being the grandson of the great King Zant would mean that you could put up more of a fight,” he said to me

“How do you know my grandfather,” I asked him. He stopped the bombardment and took a seat right where we stood.

“There are many things about your grandfather that you don’t yet understand. Your grandfather has powers rivaling the gods themselves,” he said to me

“What do you mean by that?” I asked him. A power rivaling the gods? How could that be, I have heard of the great god Lucien and his tremendous power over positive energy. Positive energy has the ability to cancel out negative energy and vice versa, but for my grandfather to be that powerful was just too much to believe

“Your grandfather was once the great God of Clairvoyance, as well as the holder of the blue flame. That’s very impressive if you ask me,” he said to me

“If my grandfather truly is a god, then that can only mean one thing,” I said to him

“And what’s that?” he asked me

“That means that I am one as well!” I shouted at him. I charged him head-on at full speed and struck him with a fist of flame. The attack was too fast for him to see and had hit him through his chest. He began to cough

“You caught me by surprise there, nice job,” he said to me. I still didn’t believe him, about my grandfather being a god or something as crazy as that, but if that was the case, however, then he was the one who created the deadly technique ‘Destruction.’ I began to unleash a flurry of attacks, but he managed to block each one I had thrown. He countered my hits with his extra limbs. Each limb stretched out and attacked me. His two main arms then took a hold of me a began to squeeze me. His extra limbs then began to bombard me with spikes. I was being hit from all sides. My power had even deactivated and I felt the full force of every attack, it was hell. I set my body on fire in hopes of releasing his grip. His left hand began to give out so I attacked it with the remaining strength I had left. His grip was released and I began to run away. I backed up until I was cornered.

“You are just a struggle to deal with,” he said to me. I just needed to catch my breath and I would be able to run away, we were both at the bottom of a canyon so it was hard to get out without any stamina to hover.

“Well it’s about time I stopped toying with you and finished this,” he raised his power to the max. Just like what had happened during our first encounter, I fell to the ground on my knees and I was helpless. Just by his sheer amount of power I was paralyzed, I wasn’t sure how he was able to cause that much damage to me without actually touching me. He held his hand out and created a razorblade like object from negative energy, the razor began to spin faster and faster. The more energy he added, the larger it became until it engulfed his entire hand.

“Let us see how well your body holds up against this,” he said to me.

A huge wave of fire struck his arm from behind. His arm was completely torn off
