Chapter 13 is in the queue to be posted and should be arriving soon. Friday I will post the final 2 chapters of Georgia Moonbeams, as well as a short epilogue. I can't wait for people to read the final 2 chapters, but that just means the pressure is on for me to finish book 2.
Speaking of which, I am trying to finish the final chapter of book 2 now. I've started on it but it's proving to be a challenge for me. I'm the type of writer that doesn't plan too much in advance. I have a rough outline of what I want to happen and a vague idea of when I want them to happen but I'm not the meticulous planner that some other writers are. I have a tremendous respect for writers that have everything outlined and planned like that. I can't write like that. I typically see the story playing out in my head like a movie and I transfer that movie from a mental picture to written words.
Right now I see the movie playing out in my head for this final chapter but for some reason the words just don't fail to capture the emotion that I want to convey. I haven't touched the chapter in several days so today I plan to go back and analyze what I've already done and see if I can't get it done.
Once that is done I have to rewrite the opening chapter(s) and then it's off to final editing and sending out copies to advance readers. Overall I'm really excited about this next book but also the books to come. I have so much planned for Alex and the gang that Tenderloin has to remind that sometimes I just need to write!
Thank God I've got a taskmaster for an editor! I mean ... someone has to keep me focused!
