When I up-dated the Shut up and Drive postings elsewhere, I neglected to repost the yarn on Fine Stories as well.
I've severely reprimanded myself, and given myself 100 lines as punishment.
Those 100 lines are of Chapter three, I might add; which is coming along quite nicely. But seeing that this tale is written in the third person, I am finding it heavy going. In my humble opinion, first person narratives are far easier to write.
For those interested my internet woes appear to finally be over. I'm now experiencing a stable connection running at a remarkable 17mbps. And I can assure you that that is a remarkable speed in this particular location. However that has been achieved in-spite of BT Retail, and definitely not with their assistance. After over thirty years our supplier/customer relationship has finally come to an end.
However for some totally inexplicable reason we still don't have a fully functioning landline telephone. Other folks can call us, we just can't call them! And it would appear that the engineers… Well lets just leave it there, shall we?
