My editors warned me about fore-shadowing. It's a technique you use to put something in a story that hints about what's to come.
The last line of chapter 10 is such.
You are all wrong. I won't comment on what you all think will happen, you know what it is. I pride myself on putting readers in stereotypical situations then changing things up a bit.
